OpenDoors Kids Grammar Games: fun grammar games for children learning English, inside WordPress
OpenDoors Kids Grammar Games is a WordPress plugin that makes English grammar feel like play. Designed for children aged 6 to 10, it combines short rules, colourful games and friendly feedback, so young learners practise without pressure.
The plugin includes eight built-in topics with 48 questions: A or An, One and Many, Am, Is, Are, Has or Have, Where Is It?, He Likes and I Like, Can and Can’t, and Yesterday. Every topic starts with a simple rule and an example that children can listen to, and each question has a picture clue and a short, kind explanation.
Four games keep learners motivated. Quiz Quest asks children to pick the right word. Bubble Pop turns the same questions into floating bubbles. Sentence Builder lets them tap words to build a sentence, and Memory Match asks them to find pairs such as go and went. A second try is always allowed, a friendly parrot guide cheers children on, and they collect stars, hear sound effects and see confetti. Correct sentences can be read aloud with the browser’s voices, and animations respect reduced-motion settings.
Safety comes first. There are no accounts, no ads, no cookies, no external requests and no personal data. Children only tap, and their stars are saved only in their own browser. Children never talk to an AI.
Teachers can add their own topics. With their own OpenAI (GPT), Anthropic (Claude) or Google (Gemini) key, teachers can ask AI to draft fill-in-the-blank questions for any grammar point, then read them, remove any they do not like and save them. Only topics saved by a teacher appear for children.
